I built Valex in Dallas as a marketplace connecting valets with nearby small businesses, including restaurants and entertainment venues. I onboarded valets around downtown Dallas, particularly at the Omni Hotel.
How it worked
Valets referred guests to participating local businesses and earned a commission when a referral resulted in a transaction. QR codes in the app facilitated the referral, and valets received instant payouts when transactions happened.
Outcome
The marketplace brought business to nearby SMBs while giving valets a way to earn referral income. The project was acquired.
